PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an encoding bit number to be effectively saved.SOLUTION: An encoding method, a decoding method, an encoder, and a decoder are provided. The encoding method includes: obtaining distribution information on all pulses on tracks requiring encoding; determining a distribution mark to mark the distribution information on the basis of the distribution information; and generating an encoding index including the distribution mark. The decoding method includes: accepting the encoding index; extracting the distribution mark used for marking the distribution information on all the pulses on the tracks requiring encoding from the encoding index; determining distribution information on all the pulses on the tracks requiring encoding on the basis of the distribution mark; and reconstructing pulse arrangement on the tracks on the basis of the distribution information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
