1. A control apparatus for a four-wheel drive vehicle comprising:
an estimated driving force calculating circuit that calculates an estimated driving force estimated to be transmitted to main driving wheels to which a driving force of a driving source is constantly transmitted, wherein the four-wheel drive vehicle includes the main driving wheels, auxiliary driving wheels to which the driving force of the driving source is transmitted via a driving shaft that transmits the driving force in a front-rear direction of the vehicle, a first clutch that enables blocking of transmission of the driving force from the driving source to the driving shaft, and a second clutch that enables blocking of transmission of the driving force from the driving shaft to the auxiliary driving wheels, the control apparatus is mounted in the four-wheel drive vehicle to control the first and second clutches, during two-wheel driving in which the transmission of the driving force through the first and second clutches is blocked, the estimated driving force calculating circuit calculates the estimated driving force applied to the main driving wheels based on a vehicle speed and an amount of acceleration operation performed by a driver, and during the two-wheel driving, the control apparatus allows one of the first and second clutches to transmit the driving force when the estimated driving force is larger than a driving force threshold defined according to a slip limit torque for the main driving wheels. |
