A method is proposed for producing an interdental cleaner, which has a plastic carrier in rod form in which laterally protruding bristles are embedded. A filament array comprising multiple filament strands is thereby inserted into a holding cartridge and fixed in a predetermined alignment in the holding cartridge by means of a holding device. The holding cartridge is subsequently inserted into an injection-moulding device and the filament array is encapsulated with plastic in the injection-moulding device to form multiple plastic carriers in rod form that are arranged spaced apart next to one another. The filament strands forming the filament array are subsequently severed, at least in the portions lying between adjacent carriers in rod form. A device for carrying out the method is additionally proposed. |
