PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic heat pump device which includes a magneto-caloric element and can determine whether the prescribed thermal output is possible or not by detecting a degradation in the performance of the magneto-caloric element.SOLUTION: A MHP (Magneto-caloric effect Heat Pump) device 2 includes an ECU 90 for controlling drive of a motor 5 as a power source of a pump 17 and a magnetic field modulation device 14, and a notification section 99 for notifying that a prescribed thermal output is impossible. The ECU 90 has an acquiring section 92, a storage section 93, and a determining section 94. The acquiring section 92 acquires torque P from the motor 5. The storage section 93 stores determination torque as a target physical amount. The determining section 94 determines whether the prescribed thermal output is possible or not on the basis of a result of comparison of the torque P acquired by the acquiring section 92 with the determination torque stored in the storage section 93.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
