PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device which can determine a type of a parking space in a parking region automatically by using an image in which the outside of an own vehicle is photographed.SOLUTION: A parking support device is mounted on an own vehicle and it supports parking in a parking region by the own vehicle. The parking support device includes: an imaging unit for imaging the outside of the own vehicle; and a control unit for performing image recognition of a license plate or a wheel of a parked vehicle which is parked in the parking region from the image photographed by the imaging unit, and on the basis of at least one of the license plate and the wheel, images of which are recognized, for determining at least a type of a parking space of the parking region is a parking in parallel type of a parking in line type.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
