A container (100) of consumer goods comprises: an outer housing (102) comprising a box (104) and a lid (106) hinged to the box along a hinge line extending across a back wall of the outer housing; an inner package (108) enclosing the consumer goods, the inner package having an access opening; and an adhesive label (1 16) covering the access opening of the inner package and extending beyond the periphery of the access opening of the inner package (108). The adhesive label (1 16) is at least partially resealably affixed to the inner package by a resealable adhesive provided on the inner surface of a first portion (1 18) of the adhesive label. A second portion (120) of the adhesive label (1 16) is permanently affixed to an inner surface of the front wall of the lid (122) of the outer housing such that movement of the lid (106) of the outer housing brings about movement of the adhesive label (1 16) between a closed position and an open position. A line of weakness (126) is provided across the adhesive label between the first portion (1 18) and the second portion (120) such that the second portion is detachable from the remainder of the adhesive label when the adhesive label is in the open position. |
