PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side structure of a vehicle capable of reducing deformation at a belt line portion of a side door, during a side impact.SOLUTION: At a door inner panel 44, there is set a step portion 44S recessed outward in a vehicle width direction, from an indoor side vertical wall portion 44A. A part of the step portion 44S is a first lap portion 44R disposed at a position overlapping with an outer vertical wall portion 18A of a center pillar 18, in a side view of a vehicle. A part of the outer vertical wall portion 18A of the center pillar 18 is a second lap portion 18R opposed to the first lap portion 44R across a space narrower than a step between the step portion 44S and the indoor side vertical wall portion 44A. At a longitudinal end of a belt line reinforcement 60, there are set third lap portions 60X, 60Y connected to the first lap portion 44R at positions overlapping with the second lap portion 18R of the center pillar 18, in the side view of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
