摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal matrix composite material high in strength and also excellent in friction wear properties such as sliding properties.SOLUTION: Provided is a metal matrix composite material in which a metal matrix being an age hardening type alloy, and in which the solid lubrication particles to the metal matrix is 1 to 10% by a matrix volume ratio. The metal matrix composite material is produced by a mixed powder method where matrix molten metal is made to flow into mixed powder consisting of solvent metal matrix powder, solvent metal matrix powder and solid lubrication particles, and centrifugal force is utilized. Furthermore, by subjecting the produced metal matrix composite material to aging treatment or aging treatment after solution treatment, the strength of the metal matrix composite material is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
