PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of an operation for receiving an inquiry from a customer.SOLUTION: In an information processing system 1, a voice recognition section 104 receives an inquiry from a terminal device 70, and an intention/state interpretation section 107 determines whether an answer for the inquiry can be searched from an FAQ search database 154, executes complementary processing for complementing information for the answer when the answer cannot be searched, and generates an answer on the basis of a result of the complementary processing. The intention/state interpretation section 107 determines whether the answer for the inquiry has been generated or not, and transmits the answer searched or the answer generated when a determination is made that the answer can be searched or the answer has been generated for the inquiry. A communicator call section 112 executes call processing of a communicator when the intention/state interpretation section 107 determines that the answer cannot be generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
