PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the details of an entry with high probability from image data obtained by reading a routine document and the like with an image sensor.SOLUTION: There is provided a character string extraction device that extracts an extraction target character string on the basis of a character string data group (for example, "male" and "○2") composed of a plurality of pieces of character string data obtained by analyzing image data of a document, the character string extraction device including: candidate character string storage means (5) for storing a plurality of candidate character strings (for example, "male" and "female") to be candidates for the extraction target character string; and character string extraction means for extracting, from the candidate character strings, one that is not present in the character string data group (for example, "female") as the extraction target character string.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
