PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup stage that can support a larger number of types of boards as compared with a prior art, and a component mounting device having the same.SOLUTION: A flat plate type backup stage 22 which is freely detachably secured to a stage fitting unit 21 and supports the end portion of the board 2 from the lower side has a first face 41 and a second face 42 which confront each other in the thickness direction in parallel to each other and are oriented in horizontal position under the state that the backup stage 22 is fitted to the stage fitting unit 21. In an outer peripheral area of the first face 41 are provided plural first face-side support faces 45 which are different in height when the backup stage is fitted to the stage fitting unit 21 with the first face 41 placed face up. In an outer peripheral area of the second face 42 are provided plural second face-side support faces 46 which are different in height when the backup stage is fitted to the stage fitting unit 21 with the second face 42 placed face up.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
