ANTISTATIC AGENT FOR THERMOPLASTIC RESIN, AND THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

[Problem] To provide an inexpensive antistatic agent that has high water resistance in relation to operations such as rinsing and can impart an excellent antistatic property even when added to a thermoplastic resin in a small amount. [Solution] A mixture of a polymeric antistatic agent and an ion-binding salt represented by chemical formula (1) or chemical formula (2) is used as an antistatic agent for thermoplastic resins. In chemical formula (1), A represents a linear or branched C2–4 alkylene group, n represents an integer from 0 to 50, Q1+ represents a secondary ammonium ion or a tertiary ammonium ion, and R1 represents: an optionally substituted C1–30 alkyl group that is linear, branched, or cyclic; an optionally substituted C6–30 aryl group; or an optionally substituted C7–31 arylalkyl group. In chemical formula (2), A represents a linear or branched C2–4 alkylene group, Q2+ represents a secondary ammonium ion or a tertiary ammonium ion, and R2 represents: an optionally substituted C1–30 alkyl group that is linear, branched, or cyclic; an optionally substituted C6–30 aryl group; or an optionally substituted C7–31 arylalkyl group.
