A surface coil for a magnetic resonance imaging system comprises: a first plane coil unit placed on a plane surface; and a first curved surface coil unit symmetrically placed on the first plane coil unit and one curved surface, wherein the first plane coil unit and the first curved surface coil unit are electrically connected to each other in at least two parts. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the quality of a magnetic resonance image may be improved by increasing a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the magnetic resonance imaging system. |
