PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for isolating and purifying 1,4-diaminobutane with a high purity and a high yield from a 1,4-diaminobutane-containing fermented solution through the steps of cell mass separation, desalination, concentration, impurity removal and recovery.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for isolating and purifying 1,4-diaminobutane from a 1,4-diaminobutane-containing fermented solution comprising the steps of: removing the cell mass from the 1,4-diaminobutane-containing fermented solution (step 1); adding an alkaline material to the fermented solution obtained in the step 1 and removing the resultant salt (step 2); concentrating the fermented solution obtained in the step 2 (step 3); removing impurities from the concentrated solution obtained in the step 3 (step 4); and collecting 1,4-diaminobutane from the solution obtained by the step 4 (step 5). Preferably, the alkaline material in the step 2 is NaOH, Ca(OH), MgO, KOH, LiOH or NHOH.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
