PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "electronic device" which allows a user to perform input operation without viewing a display screen.SOLUTION: An electronic device for instructing processing to be executed by touch operation on a touch panel includes: a storage section which stores correspondence between the number of taps in touch operation and the type of processing to be executed; tap detection means which detects the number of taps in first touch operation; first touch position determination means which determines a first touch position; processing type determination means which determines the type of processing corresponding to the number of taps; second touch position detection means which detects a position of second touch operation after the first touch operation; touch area determination means which determines whether the second touch position belongs one or the other area divided by the first touch position; and control means which instructs first processing associated with one area when the second touch position belongs to the one area, or instructs second processing associated with the other area when the second touch position belongs to the other area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
