PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit charging of a battery in extremely low-temperature.SOLUTION: A hybrid electric automobile includes: a rotary machine 20 for generating power using a drive of an engine 10 as a drive source; a battery 30 for storing power generated by the rotary machine 20; battery temperature detection means 31 for detecting a temperature of the battery 30; first determination means 41 for determining whether a detection result of the battery temperature detection means 31 is equal to or higher than a given value; second determination means 52 for determining, after the determination by the first determination means 41, that the determination by the first determination means 41 is correct or not; and control means 40 for controlling the engine 10 so as to start or standby on the basis of the determination result of the second determination means 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
