PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power reception device capable of decreasing an eddy current loss by preventing a magnetic flux from a coil from interlinking the coil itself and a shield during power transmission in a power transmission system.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the power reception device to which power is transmitted from a power transmission device in a contactless manner. The power reception device comprises: a ferrite 260 which is molded tabular and includes a first principal surface 260A and a second principal surface 260B; an annular coil 250 that is provided on the first principal surface 260A of the ferrite 260; and a shield 640 that is provided on the second principal surface 260A of the ferrite 260. An outer circumferential part T1 of the coil 250 is positioned inside of an outer circumferential part F1 of the ferrite 260, such that the first principal surface 260A is exposed partially at a side of the outer circumferential part F1 of the ferrite 260. An outer circumferential side of the shield 640 includes a step 640D that is provided at a position away from the second principal surface 260A of the ferrite 260, such that the second principal surface 260B is exposed partially at the side of the outer circumferential part F1 of the ferrite 260.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
