PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a battery performance.SOLUTION: A metal air battery 1 comprises: a cylindrical positive electrode 2; a negative electrode 3 opposed to the inner surface of the positive electrode 2; and an electrolyte layer 4 disposed between the negative electrode 3 and the positive electrode 2. The positive electrode 2 includes a porous positive electrode main body 21 which is a cylindrical support body formed by a conductive ceramic. The metal air battery further comprises: a separator 41 provided on the inner surface of the positive electrode main body 21, which is composed of a porous film formed by an insulative ceramic. According to this embodiment, the positive electrode main body 21 is a support body, whereby the positive electrode 2 can be increased in thickness readily, and the electric resistance of the positive electrode 2 can be lowered to enhance a battery performance of the metal air battery 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
