PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly generate deceleration which is required by an avoidance brake by reflecting a drive's deceleration intention, in a vehicle having, for example, a collision avoidance function.SOLUTION: A collision avoidance device comprises: a collision avoidance implementing part which can operate, for example, an avoidance brake for avoiding a collision with an avoidance objective; a determination part which determines the presence or absence of an operation of a brake pedal by a driver; and a collision avoidance control part which prohibits completion of the operation of the avoidance brake when the driver operates the brake pedal during the operation of the avoidance brake, and performs control for braking a vehicle by a larger brake force out of a brake force which is required by the operation of the brake pedal and a brake force which is generated by the avoidance brake.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
