PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which allows a coat layer for battery electrode, separator or current collector protection to have an adequate peel strength from the practical viewpoint, in which the coat layer serves to protect the surface of an electrode a separator or a current collector, makes an ion source as a layer impregnated with electrolytic solution and is used to enhance battery characteristics, the method enabling the reduction in moisture percentage in a nonaqueous secondary battery cell and the achievement of a longer battery life.SOLUTION: An electrode for a nonaqueous power storage device, a separator for a nonaqueous power storage device, and a current collector for a nonaqueous power storage device are each coated with a slurry composition comprising a metal oxide subjected to an acid treatment and a binder, as a protection layer. A nonaqueous power storage device comprises any one of the electrode, the separator and the current collector. In the slurry composition, the metal oxide includes at least one compound selected from silica, alumina, zirconia and titania; and an acid used in the acid treatment is at least one inorganic acid selected from hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid and hydrobromic acid, or an organic acid having a functional group selected from a carboxyl group, a sulfonic group, a phosphate group, a sulfonium group and a boron acid group.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
