PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high rigidity iron based sintered alloy having a sufficient high Young's modulus as a sintered compact without performing dencifying by hot working or the like even in the case high rigidity particles (TiBparticles) are relatively largely included.SOLUTION: Provided is a high rigidity iron based sintered alloy obtained, into a matrix made of iron or an iron alloy, by dispersing high rigidity particles having a Young's modulus higher than that of the matrix. The high rigidity particles, as the whole sintered alloy as 100 vol.%, include TiBparticles occupying 10 to 50 vol.% with theo whole sintered alloy as 100 vol.%, and include Zr of 0.1 to 3 mass% with the whole matrix as 100 mass%. When ZrBpowder added and further sintering temperature is controlled to 1,140°C or higher, the TiBparticles are finely dispersed into the matrix to obtain a sintered alloy having high density and high Young's modulus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B |
