PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift an image forming apparatus to an emergency mode according to the occurrence of an earthquake, causing the image forming apparatus to self-diagnose a function available, and quickly clarify the function available after the earthquake.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a detection part for detecting the occurrence of an earthquake; a plurality of job execution parts that execute jobs; an output part that outputs information; and a control part that controls the job execution parts, when the detection part detects the occurrence of an earthquake, switches the mode of the image forming apparatus from a normal mode to an emergency mode, after the lapse of a predetermined waiting time from the switching to the emergency mode, executes self-diagnostic processing for checking whether or not the job execution parts normally operate, and causes the output part to output information indicating executable jobs and unexecutable jobs on the basis of a result of the self-diagnostic processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
