PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device which enables high luminance and high contrast image display without generating display defects caused by deformation of an image display section.SOLUTION: An image display device comprises: an image display section 2; a light transmissive protective section 3 arranged on the image display section; and a cured resin layer 5 arranged between the image display section 2 and the protective section 3. The cured resin layer 5 has a transmissivity of 90% or more in a visible light region and a refractive index (nD) of 1.45 or more and 1.55 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
