PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus comprising a tomographic image identification means which enables a user to select a tomographic image indicating the features of a finding or a tomographic image for display in a report from three-dimensional medical images.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises means for acquiring a noteworthy finding in a medical image, means for calculating an image feature quantity of a type associated with the noteworthy finding beforehand for each of a plurality of tomographic images of the medical image; and means for identifying one of the tomographic images on the basis of the calculated image feature quantity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
