PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device that can suppress a noise from a driving source, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A driving device has a mold holding member 10 that is a rotor covering member, a driving motor 8 of an outer rotor type DC brushless motor, a motor attaching bracket 9 that is a driving source attaching member, a photoreceptor gear 11, and a drive holding bracket 13 that is a drive transmission mechanism opposing member, arranged in order from the inner side of the device. The mold holding member 10 is provided with a motor shielding part 10b that surrounds to shield a rotor part 8b of the driving motor 8.
