This illumination switch device has an operation portion (12, 13) for performing a switching operation between the on/off state of a lighting equipment, a location indicator light (21, 22) for allowing the location of the operation portion to be visible, a control portion (50) for controlling the on/off state of the location indicator light, and a detection portion (24, 26, 27, 28) for detecting the proximity of an operator. When the detection portion has detected the proximity of the operator, the control portion illuminates the position indicator light. |
