A predicted course estimation device that estimates the predicted course of a vehicle, comprising: a data acquisition means that obtains turning data indicating the turning direction of the vehicle; a filter processing means that removes a high-frequency component included in the turning data; a course prediction means that calculates an estimated value for vehicle course prediction, on the basis of turning data after filter processing and on the basis of vehicle speed; a determination means that determines whether or not the vehicle travels a section having a switching road shape; and a characteristics change means that changes the degree that the high-frequency component is removed by the filter processing means, if a determination is made that the vehicle will travel the section having the switching road shape.
