A virtual carrier sensing method and device, the method comprising: receiving a transmission frame comprising a service field and a duration field, and the service field comprises a verification field, the verification field carries a first verification value obtained from a second verification value carried in a verification field transmitted through a wireless channel, and the second verification value is from a field set calculated according to a preset algorithm when a wireless device transmitting the transmission frame generates the transmission frame; the field set is a part of the fields included in the transmission frame, the field set comprises the duration field; the duration field comprises a duration time (S101); determining whether the duration time is an effective duration time according to the first verification value (S102); when the duration time is determined to be an effective duration time, updating a local network allocation vector<b/>(NAV) timer using the duration time (S103). The method can improve the reliability of the virtual carrier sensing. |
