PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to diagnose brake abnormality of a motor while suppressing lowering of an operation rate.SOLUTION: A motor control device 14 for diagnosing abnormality of a brake B of a servomotor SM has: a brake control part 24 which operates or releases the brake B; a diagnosis part 26 which diagnoses existence or absence of abnormality of the brake B in the state where the brake B is operated by the brake control part 24; and a signal output part 29 which outputs a signal concerning brake abnormality after the brake B is released by the brake control part 24 in the case that it is diagnosed by the diagnosis part 26 that there is abnormality in the brake B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
