PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly method for a liquid sensor and the liquid sensor, capable of securing a holding force with respect to a tube having various diameters.SOLUTION: The liquid sensor includes: a cover member 20 which includes a holding part for holding a tube T and is detachably attached to a main body case 10 for attaching the liquid sensor to an object S; a light projection element which radiates detection light to the tube T held by the cover member 20 from a direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the tube T; and a light-receiving element which receives the detection light transmitted through the tube T. A first cover member including a pair of elastic pieces 51A and 51B corresponding to the tube T having a first diameter holds the tube T, while elastically deforming a pair of elastic pieces 51A and 51B. On the other hand, a second cover member including a recess part corresponding to the tube T having a second diameter larger than the first diameter holds the tube T, without elastically deforming the recess part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
