PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactor with a longer life, while reducing the risk of damaging a vacuum interrupter.SOLUTION: A vacuum interrupter (12) includes: fixed contacts (14); moving contacts (16); and rods (18) each fastened to each of the moving contacts (16). Each of the rod (18) comprises: the vacuum interrupter (12) which is movable between a closed position of the interrupter (12) where the moving contacts (16) come into contact with the fixed contacts (14) and an open position of the interrupter (12) where the moving contacts (16) are separated from the fixed contacts (14); and a first moving member (20) for moving each of the rods (18) in a moving direction (X) from the closed position to the open position. The rods (18) further comprise means (30) to adjust the moving speed of the rods (18) over the entire movement of each of the rods (18) from the closed position to the open position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
