PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device that can easily determine the direction and speed related to scroll display of images even when the device do not have a sufficient area to enable a flick or trace operation and the like, and an image display method.SOLUTION: There is provided a touch panel device that includes a contact target surface and receives designation of a position through a contact with the contact target surface, the touch panel device including detection means for detecting a value of a pressure to be applied to the contact target surface at the contact, and determining a direction on the basis of positions according to designation of a plurality of positions, determining a speed on the basis of a result of the detection by the detection means, and performing scroll display of images on the basis of the determined direction and speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
