PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm the situation of a settlement operation by a shopper.SOLUTION: A checkout system includes: a merchandise registration device, a settlement device, and a server. The merchandise registration device is configured to generate settlement information for the settlement of purchase merchandise to be purchased by a shopper, and to output journal data corresponding to the settlement information. The settlement device is configured to perform settlement processing in accordance with the operation of the shopper on the basis of the settlement information. The server is configured to store the journal data output from the merchandise registration device. The merchandise registration device is configured to, when the settlement processing based on the settlement information is not completed even after the lapse of a predetermined set time, add information indicating the situation of the shopper to the journal data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
