PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that is reduced in size as an entire system, has a high zoom ratio, and provides high optical performance over an entire zoom range.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises, in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens group L1 having positive refractive power, second lens group L2 having negative refractive power, third lens group L3 having positive refractive power, and a rear group LR comprising one or more lens groups. When zooming, the first lens group is stationary while the second lens group, third lens group, and one or more lens groups of lens group included in the rear group move, changing distance between each pair of adjacent lens groups thereby. A lateral magnification β2w of the second lens group at the wide-angle end, a lateral magnification β2t of the second lens group at the telephoto end, a displacement M3t of the third lens group when zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, and a total lens length TD are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
