The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are an SGW, an MME, and a paging method and system, which solve the problem of failing to provide a service to other UEs caused by performance deterioration of a CPU of an MME. The specific solution is: a receiving module receives first information of a UE sent by an MME and receives downlink data of the UE sent by a PGW; and when the UE is in an idle state, a sending module sends a paging message to an eNodeB according to the first information received by the receiving module. The present invention is used in a paging process. |
