Disclosed are an operation prompting method and device, for saving network resource. The method comprises: a server receives a call request transmitted by a first user, and calls a second user according to the call request. Before the second user responds to the call request, the server receives the operation prompting request transmitted by the first user, and ends the call to the second user according to the operation prompting request, and informs the second user of the reason for ending the call, so as to effectively prompt the called user whether a callback is needed, such that the called user does not need to call back to ask for information when not necessary, thus avoiding wasting network resource, and at the same time saving explanation time and communication cost for both parties. |
