The present invention relates to a method for quantification of an intratumoral metabolic macroheterogeneity factor (MHF) and a method for predicting the possibility of a tumor relapse by utilizing the quantified MHF. According to the present invention, provided are a method of acquiring a surface area value of a tumor by using a PET/CT image and quantifying an intratumoral metabolic MHF by using the surface area value, and a method of predicting the possibility of a tumor relapse by utilizing the quantified factor. Since a value for predicting the possibility of a tumor relapse after a surgical removal of the tumor is quantitatively calculated, it is possible to acquire objective data exclusive of subjective judgment, In addition, the methods makes it possible to predict the possibility of a tumor relapse in a patient who had tumorectomy by utilizing the data and to use an adjuvant therapy while monitoring the patient′s prognosis, thereby preventing or minimizing a relapse of the tumor. |
