PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a hydrogen generating electrode in which, regarding the hydrogen generating electrode whose hydrogen generating characteristic has decreased as compared to the initial state because of the sustained utilization, the hydrogen generating characteristic can be brought back close to the initial state.SOLUTION: The method for regenerating a hydrogen generating electrode 10 for artificial photosynthesis module where an electrolytic aqueous solution is disintegrated into hydrogen and oxygen by light, includes subjecting the hydrogen generating electrode 10 to a regeneration treatment process in which the potential of hydrogen generating electrode 10 is swept to a pre-set positive potential in a light-shielded electrolytic liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
