PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate danger of colliding with a succeeding vehicle by reaction of releasing a gate bar, by normally executing release operation, even if the gate bar contacts with the vehicle in the middle of opening-closing operation, by reducing a space for making the released gate bar execute return operation.SOLUTION: A gate device 1 comprises a rotary part 13 rotatably supported by a body part 11 around a vertical rotary shaft 12. In the gate device 1, a rotational driving part 22 determines a position of the rotary part 13 so that a gate bar 16 existing in a side-lying position intercepts a vehicle passage 2 when regulating passing of a movable body, and also rotates the rotary part 13 so as to follow up rotation of the gate bar 16 in the side-lying position when the gate bar 16 executes release operation for rotating in the release direction around a release rotary shaft 51 regardless of a phase of the gat bar 16 to a horizontal rotary shaft 14, and holds one end side of the gate bar 16 by approaching or contacting with one end side of a gate bar base part 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
