PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to efficiently collect a secondary battery from a used portable device without depending on only manual work while preventing the secondary battery from being crushed when collecting a second battery from a used portable device.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for disposing of a portable device α which includes: a feeding step of feeding a portable device α into a disposal room 2; and a battery separation step of making the portable device α crash into a crash part 6 by giving acceleration to the fed portable device α by the rotation of a rotating body 4 provided in the disposal room 2 to separate a second battery from the portable device α by the impact given to the portable device. In the battery separation step, a rotational speed of the outer peripheral surface of the rotating body 4 is 7.5 m/s or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
