Cell phone case with illuminated magnifier

A cellular phone case or case cover is provided having a magnifying glass that can extend from and be returned into one side of the case. The magnifying glass can be illuminated by a light emitting diode (LED) so that a person can read in any environment or lighting condition. The electronic device case can have its own integrated power source so as not to remove power from the electronic device.

an otherwise conventional cellular telephone having a liquid crystal display (LCD) on a front surface and an engageable illumination element on a rear surface; and a magnifying unit operable between a first retracted position and a second extended position;wherein said magnifying unit is adapted for viewing images directed under illumination generated by said illumination element when in said second extended position.
