An assembly comprising a catheter package, a catheter and a collecting bag is provided. The assembly has means for preventing flow of liquid through the catheter during storage. A sealing element closing the eyelets is provided. An extended cone-lock in a telescopic catheter is also provided.

1. A prepackaged catheter assembly comprising:
a container including a first compartment, a second compartment, and a liquid barrier situated between the first compartment and the second compartment, the first compartment having a liquid medium stored therein; a catheter having a hydrophilic coating deposited on a portion thereof, the catheter being stored in the container such that at least a portion of the catheter extends into the first compartment and such that at least a portion of the catheter extends into the second compartment; and a collection bag, the collection bag being stored in the container with the catheter such that the liquid barrier separates the collection bag from the liquid medium stored in the first compartment.
