Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a terminal device and advance warning method thereof. The method comprises: a terminal enables a global positioning system (GPS) to obtain current geographic location information in a timely manner, and matches the current geographic location information to geographic location information preset in a service area of a base station the terminal belongs thereto; if a matching result indicates that the terminal has left a preset area of the base station the terminal belongs thereto, the terminal executes an advance warning operation. The terminal device comprises a matching unit and an advance warning processing unit.
