PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an output performance of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An EGR device 44 has: an intake port 44a connected to an exhaust passage 36 at a downstream side of an internal combustion engine 12 and at an upstream side of a turbine wheel 38b; and an exhaust port 44b connected to an intake passage 22 at a downstream side of an intercooler 28 and at an upstream side of the internal combustion engine 12. In addition, an EGR device 52 has: an intake port 52a connected to the exhaust passage 36 at a downstream side of a muffler 42; and an exhaust port 52b connected to the intake passage 22 at an upstream side of a compressor wheel 38a. An ECU 64 energizes the EGR device 44 in place of the EGR device 52 when a temperature of air supplied to the intercooler 28 does not satisfy an exceptional temperature condition and energizes the EGR device 52 in place of the EGR device 44 when the temperature of air supplied to the intercooler 28 satisfies the exceptional temperature condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
