PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel adjuvant which can significantly activate dendritic cells at the time of vaccination and can increase a vaccine effect.SOLUTION: The above subject is achieved by an adjuvant extracted from microorganisms which live with Poaceae plants. The adjuvant maintains activity by the treatment from e.g., Ustilago esculenta or Pantoea bacteria which live with Zizania latifolia at a given temperature for a given period of time. Preferably, the adjuvant derived from Ustilago esculenta is β-glucan.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
