PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an image forming device that, when an arbitrary character string is prepared on a "Japanese" display screen and synthetic printing of the arbitrary character string is performed on an "English" display screen, in application of the synthetic printing to a printed matter by using a font of the display language, font development in a character code of "English" cannot be performed, the arbitrary character string cannot be prepared properly, however, even in such a case, the font development of the arbitrary character string is permitted and a character string image can be properly prepared.SOLUTION: When font development cannot be performed by using a font of display language in processing for printing an arbitrary character string by using a synthetic printing function, such a font as to permit font development from the first character in the character string is retrieved and the font development is performed by using the font.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
