A pseudo base station discrimination method and apparatus, wherein the method comprises: receiving a short message from a base station; parsing, from the short message, a receiver identification which is added in the short message by a network side server; comparing the receiver identification with a stored receiver identification, generating a comparison result; and determining whether the base station is a pseudo base station according to the comparison result. With the above technical solution, the problem that a terminal device can not effectively discriminate a pseudo base station is solved, accurate discrimination for pseudo base station can be performed, and the illegal action of utilizing pseudo base station can be avoided. |
