Provided is an infrared-reflecting patterned body having, in an area constituting at least part of a support, infrared-reflecting pattern portions that include an infrared-reflecting material, the infrared-reflecting pattern portions having asperity structures that include a plurality of protruding portions and/or recessed portions, and containing metal particles on the surfaces of the protruding portions and/or recessed portions of the asperity structures of the infrared-reflecting pattern portions; the tabular metal particles including 60 number-percent or more of tabular metal particles of hexagonal to circular shape; and tabular metal particles that are plane-oriented so that the angle formed by the principal plane of the tabular metal particle and the surface of the asperity structure closest to the tabular metal particle is within the range of 0-±30° constituting 50 number-percent or more of all of the tabular metal particles. When the infrared-reflecting pattern portions are irradiated with infrared on the diagonal, the ratio of reflectance of the pattern portion that reflects infrared at the wavelength of highest reflectance within an infrared region of 780-2,500 nm, to the reflectance of the non-patterned portion, is large. |
