The disclosed positioning device (101) is used for mounting fastening elements (28, 28a) in the form of screws that are screwed into the bone transversely to the shaft (16) of a securing element (15). A positioning device for inserting fastening elements (28, 28a) used for mounting a securing element (15) in bones (11) of a body part (115) comprises a shell-shaped main piece (102) on which a stationary guide bush (104) and, on a slanted guide rail (106), a preferably slidable guide bush (108) that can be inserted in different positions are located. By sliding the fastening elements (28, 28a) along the slanted guide rail (106), same can be positioned irrespective of prerequisites and can be gripped by a gripping device (25) of the securing element (15), said gripping device (25) being provided with helices or slanted slots. In another embodiment, the main piece (102) is mounted on the rear portion (16) of the securing element (15), is movable, together with said rear portion (16), relative to the bone along the securing element, and includes an arm (125) on which the guide rail (106) is formed and which extends at distance along the securing element (15), towards the front portion (24). A guide bush (108) that is guided in the front section of the guide rail allows a fastening element (28) to be drilled and screwed in in front of the forward end of the securing element. When the securing element (15) advances all the way to the fastening element, the guide bush (108) slides along the guide rail (106) to the end thereof and positions the positioning device in order for additional fastening elements (28, 28a) to be introduced. |
