A rotary ditcher attachment is disclosed that is selectively mounted onto the bottom of 5 an excavator implement. The rotary ditcher attachment 10 has an attachment frame 30 including a mounting bracket 42 for releasable mounting onto a tool mount on the boom of the excavator implement. A rotary disc assembly 40 on the attachment frame 30 includes a rotor 52 supported for rotation relative to the attachment frame 30 about a disc axis, and a plurality of blades 54. The blades 54 are supported on the 10 rotor 52 for cutting into the ground as the rotor 52 is rotated.
